NEW Members Make the Grade at Devon’s Top Attractions!

The Devon Association of Tourist Attractions is pleased to announce that they have two NEW members joining the Association for 2017. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Diggerland have both been awarded the acclaimed tourism quality stamp and the attractions now feature amongst Devon’s Top Attractions.

In order to qualify as a member, the two attractions went through a rigorous inspection process and had to pass the association’s strict quality criteria.  These inspections ensure that visitors experience quality in terms of venue, facilities, content, service and value for money.  Members of the Association are regularly inspected to make sure these standards are maintained and improved.  The aim of this not-for-profit tourist organisation is for members to work together to raise and maintain the standard of Devon visitor attractions and have a united voice within the industry.  The Association continues to promote Devon to both UK and overseas visitors at major travel trade exhibitions and their Complete Guide to Devon brochure sees up to 1.2 million distributed each year.  The NEW 2017 Guide is now available at over 3,250 outlets across Devon and is largest distributed tourism guide in the South West.

Chris Murray, Chairman for DATA said “We are delighted to announce that Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Diggerland have joined our Association and both now feature amongst Devon’s Top attractions. Devon continues to raise the bar in quality tourism destinations, we now have 42 members who offer top quality assured days out and visitor experiences.”

Sherene Garvin-Mack, UK Marketing Manager for Diggerland said "Diggerland is pleased, proud and thoroughly delighted to be a member of the Devon Association of Tourist Attractions initiative. Being a part of Devon's Top Attractions makes perfect sense for both parties in order to further raise the profile of tourism within the County. We are excited about the partnership and working with DATA.”

Lynne Horwood, Director from Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park had similar views and said We are proud to have been awarded the quality stamp and look forward to working together with DATA over the coming years”

At the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2016/17 recently, Devon’s Top Attractions members triumphed and bought back to Devon a good selection of Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, further confirming Devon’s high quality status within the industry.  For a full list of Devon's Top Attractions members and for more details see their website:  www.devontopattractions.com
