Canonteign Falls Wins GOLD at Devon tourism awards

Canonteign Falls of Lower Ashton received the gold award for best small tourist attraction in Devon at the Devon Tourism Awards. The event was held at Exeter University in the great hall and was a truly wonderful evening, attended by over 300 finalists within Devon tourism.

Canonteign Falls incorporates 2 waterfalls, a Victorian fern garden, play areas, parkland, woodlands and wetlands. There is also a charming shop and welcoming café.

All the staff and management have worked incredibly hard over the last couple of years to improve all aspects of the business. A new website has been a great boost and the shop and café have had a wonderful revamp.

Receiving this award has validated all the hard work and long hours the small team of staff has put in. Current owners Mr and Mrs Baylis were thrilled with the award, Kate Baylis said  ‘Chris and I are completely bowled over and absolutely delighted. Great team effort’.

With an extensive program of works going on over the winter, and an upcoming season full of artistic and creative collaborations to hopefully include, a sculpture exhibition and artist in residence programme, Canonteign Falls is looking forward to reopening Easter 2017 and having another great year.
