Blackpool Sands Awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and prestigious Blue Flag status

Blackpool Sands Beach in South Devon has just received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. The achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned exceptional traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Recipients of Certificates of Excellence include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

This is the second award for Blackpool Sands this year, having recently been awarded the prestigious ‘Blue Flag’ accolade from the Seaside Awards 2016. This year, 26 beaches across the South West have received the blue flag award and seven of those were awarded to beaches in Devon.

Recognition continues to roll in for Blackpool Sands beach which was recently featured in the Daily Telegraph as one of Devon’s top ten family days out. The beach was described as “the best place to take your bucket and spade in Devon” by the June 2016 issue of the Motor Caravanner magazine.

Geoffrey Newman, Director of Blackpool Sands, is delighted by the recent awards and said “We work hard all year round to provide a really lovely day out on the beach for everyone to enjoy and we are thrilled that the effort we put in has been recognised in these ways.”

Blackpool Sands is set in a sheltered bay surrounded by evergreens and pines and is regarded as one of South Devon’s most beautiful natural treasures. The turquoise sea and its location give it an almost Mediterranean feel and continue to delight visitors all year round. For more information, visit their website
