Devon’s Top Attractions announce ‘Mascot Fun’ at Devon County Show

As part of Devon’s Top Attractions 30th Anniversary celebrations, they have announced that their ‘Mascots’ will be making a special star appearance at this year’s Devon County Show on 23rd May for some fun and frolics.  The mascots will be taking part in a hilarious obstacle race, which is sure to be a highly entertaining and lively event and is not to be missed! The mascots will be performing in the main arena for one day only on Saturday 23rd May at 12.45pm.

The lovable mascots will be sure to include some of your children’s favourite Devon characters. There will be Crealy’s adorable ‘Buddy Bear’, ‘Appy Angus’ from World of Country Life and the unforgettable ‘Woodlands Hero’.  There will also be appearances from ‘Ziggy Zag Zog’ from the Milky Way Adventure Park and Kent’s Cavern’s ‘Cavog the famous Caveman’, just to name a few. They will be joined by some of their Mascot friends from the association’s charities including The Devon Air Ambulance’s mascot: the esteemed ‘Jenny the Helicopter’.

Ollie Allen, Secretary of The Devon County Show said “The mascot race will add to the family fun atmosphere on Saturday and should provide lots of entertainment and laughs as all these larger-than-life characters take part in a specially designed race around the Mole Valley Farmers main arena. Our course designer promises to lower the jumps and put in some special obstacles which will test their athletic ability to the full. But they should make it all the way round, just!”

The top attractions are currently putting their mascots through a tough training programme in readiness for this fun competition. The mascots would love you to come along and cheer your favourite character and visitor attraction across the finishing line.  Don’t forget the Devon County Show is FREE entry to children on Saturday 23rd May!  See Devon’s Top Attractions Facebook page to see the mascots and WIN free tickets to the show.
