A Cracking Easter for Devon!

The Easter holidays are nearly here and Devon’s Top Attractions have a cracking Easter lined up, full of non-stop family fun and an egg-ceptional variety of Easter themed days out, right across Devon. There’ll be something for everyone, from baskets to bunnies. Devon’s Top Attractions invite you to join them for the ‘best in the West’ of Easter fun and celebration.

Look out! Here comes the Easter Bunny, who can be found at several of the attractions over the Easter school holidays. There’ll be no egg-scape from Easter fun and games and a cracking variety of Easter egg hunts. See the joy on the children’s faces when they collect a basket full of goodies.

Head for Powderham Castle for some creative Easter fun. The Creation Station will be there 1st- 6th April running family fun sessions with play-doh and an awesome competition too! Also at the Castle is the Award-winning Fun Kitchen crew who will be there on the 8th-13th April giving high energy, hands-on children’s cookery workshops. Fabulous, fun, food education delivered in an inspiring and engaging manner.

The Miniature Pony Centre opens its doors for the season with a whole host of exciting and enchanting events. On the 24th March Dartmoor’s very own unicorn arrives at the centre. White Lightning, one of the biggest crazes right now has been brought to life in one stand-out stable. See him dazzle and amaze all who see him, explore his home bursting with colours, glitter and light!  You can also join them for their annual Easter egg hunt from 30th March to 2nd April, with entertainer Dan the Hat and an abundance of other fun on offer.

Back open for the season is Becky Falls, head there for some Easter themed children’s craft activities, take part in their egg-cellent Quiz, see the falls while doing the woodland walk and get hands-on with the animal encounter shows and the animal feeding sessions.

Head for the miniature world of Babbacombe Model Village for a BIG day out and find the hidden eggs spread around the model village. A chocolatey treat awaits all successful young explorers!

Take part in the Easter Treasure Hunt and meet the Easter Bunny in the Easter Grotto at the Milky Way Adventure Park.  Kids will love this memorable and unique Easter experience and will receive their very own chocolate egg direct from the Easter Bunny himself.

It’s find the missing Easter Chick at Clovelly Village. Children receive a village map on which to mark the location and number of Easter chicks perched up and down the tumbling cottages along the High Street and down to the Quay. Return the map and if you spot at least 10 chicks you WIN an Easter Egg with a bigger prize still, if you spot all 15!

Devon Railway Centre is back on track for 2018 with loads of Easter family fun. Follow the Bunny Trail to find the Easter eggs and meet Betsy their adorable Easter Bunny. There’s more railway Easter fun at South Devon Railway’s Easter Fair on 30th March to 2nd April. There’ll be steam trains galore and an exciting display of vintage vehicles at Buckfastleigh Station all amounting to a steamingly good day out!

There’s an Easter Weekend of Entertainment on offer at Pecorama, full of Easter family fun and egg-citement, enjoy the Easter Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime on Friday 6th – 8th April.

The Big Sheep’s annual Easter Egg-stravaganza Festival is 17 days of non-stop Easter fun to enjoy. There will be masses of chocolate eggs to find, cute new-born lambs and fluffy bunnies to see. Meet the Easter Bunny and take a ride on the Easter Express train.

It’s going to be a cracking Easter at Crealy, with a full programme of great live shows, fantastic rides and attractions including their fantastic Easter egg hunt. Follow the clues around the park and when you’ve found them all, a chocolatey prize awaits you. From 9th – 13th April of the Easter holidays sees a very special guest visiting Crealy, you’ll be able to see Marshall from PAW Patrol on regular intervals throughout the week.

Head to Exeter Cathedral and take part in their Easter holidays brass rubbing trail. Grab your question and brass rubbing sheet and you will get a special wax stick to make your rubbings. Follow the trail and seek out the hidden brass plates around the Cathedral. When completed swap your wax stick for a special prize.

There’s Easter fun for everyone at World of Country Life. They have a full programme of Easter fun for the whole family including an Easter trail, plus there’s a whole host of new baby animals to visit in the pet centre and animal nursery!

Meet a flock of new spring lambs and enjoy a talk by a local farmer at Arlington Court from 30th March to 8th April. Find out more about rearing sheep and how they help Arlington Estate thrive, or take part in the new Wildlife Trail around the grounds. There’s more National Trust Easter Fun at Castle Drogo, follow the trail through the garden and grounds hunting out the clues to help claim your Cadbury chocolate prize and join the crafty castle capers to make some Easter crafts.

There’s more Easter Bunny fun out at Morwellham Quay, take part in their Easter bunny hunt, find the bunnies and make some Easter crafts and don’t forget to pan for gold and dress up as a Victorian.

Put a spring in your step with some egg-cellent Easter fun at Pennywell Farm. They have a bumper programme of Easter activities with bonus fun over the Easter weekend with Easter egg hunts and egg-stra special activities.  Meet the new arrivals, help bottle feed the Easter babies, pond dip for tadpoles, cuddle the pigs and pets and cheer on this season’s racing pigs. Plus, there’s a full line-up of top notch entertainment with 2 big shows daily.

Join Seaton Tramway’s Pirate Tram on the 5th April on the old ‘Seaton Pearl’ as she sets sail on her voyage following the Axe Estuary, to find treasure with swashbuckling Captain Nick. Walk, talk and look like a pirate on this pirate adventure! Or embark on a spellbinding trip on the Fairy Tram on 6th April, stretch out your wings and brush up on your spells as the Fairy Godmother takes you on a magical journey to the Fairy Kingdom.
