Exeter and Yaroslavl

Tuesday 6th March 2018 - Sunday 1st April 2018

A photographic essay of two cities. Marija Lees from Exeter and Aleksei Lobanov from Yaroslavl, Russia, visited each other’s city last year to capture first-time impressions of each place and its people, from the perspective of an outsider.

They have used photography to build bridges, to connect different and faraway communities and cultures. The display aims to provide more insight into life in the two cities, their cultural heritage and the landscape of the surrounding regions.

Initiated by the Mayor of Yaroslavl and supported by the Exeter/Yaroslavl Twinning Association. For more information about Yaroslavl and its link to Exeter, visit www.eyta.org.uk or Facebook page Exeter Yaroslavl Twinning Association.
