Exmoor Zoo

Exmoor Zoo is a unique and unusual zoo to visit. SInce opening the zoo has grown every year changes keep taking place and new babies are born so even a visit last year will today see new exhibits and animals. In the last few years new exhibits have been created for animals such as cheetah, blackbuck, maned wolves and sitatunga.

Of course the special new enclosure for the forthcoming "Exmoor beast" is due for completition any day now. Exmoor Zoo is different from other zoos. It is not a wildlife park or a city zoo but a more personal friendly and contact orientated zoo. Located in a North Devon Valley by the side of Exmoor National Park it is truly in the countryside.

Talks and encounter sessions (every half hour in the summer) zoo trails, special events days, birthday parties and zoo keeper for a day experiences all help create this unique zoo. There is a lot more here than first meets the eye, come and find out.
